You
should know I have been engaged to Japanese women in Japan twice and
lost twice! They were both very highly stressed ladies, with many
dramas. The ring was offered under pressure from them because I was
not 100% ready, or sure about either lady. But I didn't want to lose
either. It took me three years to re-build my life and business
after we separated in 2005. Many Japanese ladies expect a quick
proposal. I think its right for both parties to take at least six
months to a year before making a decision. I have noticed that US
men often propose quickly compared to European men or Australian
men. I have also noticed that there are higher divorce rates when
the
proposal and marriage to foreign men is quick. I am old fashioned at
heart. I believe that marriage is for life and should be based on a
deep feeling of love and respect. If a Japanese lady is looking for
a marriage as a potential route out of Japan, then she should ignore
my profile! It’s highly likely that my career will mean I will be
always based in Japan! |
